Dear friend,

My story isn't a new one. I've been a part of a lot of different expressions of the Body of Christ. Small country. Big City. Brand new. By this point, I know what I'm not. Not concerned with a building. Not impressed with performance. Not concerned about size. So maybe this was the last threshold. And it only took me two years to cross over.

So many questions. What happens if? What do they believe? What might they think? This was, it seemed, the last threshold. "Where do we go if we don't fit here" was the unspoken concern. And maybe the greatest one. And it kept us out, and it kept us from experiencing a lot.

That's why I'm so drawn to you, I think. The Body is beautiful when it's in fulfillment of its mission. And one of the things I lack? Courage. Just not there. So I like to hang with courageous people. I find them compelling. And people I can draw from. Will I be a benefit to you? Time may tell. But thanks for now. This seems like home.

thus spake,

me.
