Is the countdown on?

Dear Friend,

It takes one to know one. So I know what it looks like when you're running away in your own house. Or your own family. I can guess why. Tell me if you want to. But hiding out is rarely a long term solution. And it rarely Can I suggest something? You didn't have the energy to be there in the beginning. And of course, you can't go back and change it now. On my part, there's no need. Just know that the people in your life need you. They love you. And they enjoy you. And when you're hiding, the countdown is always on. So the rest you're looking for is restless, and the peace comes in pieces. There is a different way. Next time, and there will be a next time, what would it look like if you showed up with a full tank? Not just physically rested, but emotionally rested, as well. Yes, that's sometimes a tough embrace. But running on empty isn't gaining you anything, is it? What would it look like, before you spend time with them, if you spent time on you? That's not selfish. It's selfless preparation. It's not just for you. Ultimately, it's for all of you.

Or you can hide. No judgment. Just know, for my money at least, they're better with you around.
